À compter du 1er octobre 2027, les inspecteurs en bâtiment résidentiel qui effectuent des inspections dans le cadre d’une transaction immobilière (préachat)devront être titulaires d’un certificat délivré par la Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) pour exercer leurs fonctionsau Québec. Le Règlement sur la supervision des inspecteurs en bâtiment résidentiel pour les inspections liées aux transactions immobilières (REIBH) exige que les inspecteurs certifiés détiennent un certificat et se conforment à lanorme BNQ 3009-500.
